WE WORK HARD EVERY DAY TO PROVIDE QUALITY EYE CARE WHILE PROTECTING OUR STAFF, PATIENTS, AND THE COMMUNITY TO THE BEST OF OUR ABILITY:
- We have Reduced the number of daily patient appointments and total staff.
- We reserve the first few appointments of each day for high risk patients (those over age 65 or with certain medical conditions).
- Wearing masks, gloves, and safety glasses when interacting with patients.
- We thoroughly disinfect surfaces and exam rooms between patients.
- Each patient completes a COVID screening form to help us avoid exposing high risk patients.
- Payment of services & pre-appointment paperwork is now ”touchless” via secure link texted to your smart device (or email if requested).
HOW DOES COVID-19 SPREAD?
Currently experts believe the most common way COVID spreads is through close contact with an infected person. Since you can be contagious & not know it, we have to take extra precautions.
- Patient & Clinician in a small exam room face to face with each other for 20 minutes dramatically increases the risk.
- Masks have been shown to reduce the risk by over 50% when worn by both parties If social distancing can not be maintained.
- Washing hands & disinfecting surfaces also reduces risk.
